It's official. Carter is really one now.

Well sure Carter may have turned one September 4th but it didn't seem any different by the 5th..he was still the same little boy! But now, it's Septemeber 25th & I will say he's REALLY one now.  I had the craziest morning & could only think "okay wow,  this is it...I need to blog about this". So the morning went something like this...

& I am sure a lot of you have extremely relatable mornings!

The doorbell rang at 9:45 & I woke up frantically...I totally had overslept..but WAIT! That means Carter did too? Okay so here I am contemplating weather I go to the door first or I go see if Carter is breathing...I open his door & the creaking woke him a bit so he rolled over. Alright so that's clarification for me that he's alright. I go talk to the person at the door then head up to get Carter. So you're probably at this point thinking "wow, her son slept till almost 10am?"  yes. He did, but don't worry there are indeed consequences that come with that. Which includes LOTS of energy!!

I jump in the shower while Carter just played around in the bathroom/hallway...& about 2 minutes later he peeks his little head around the curtain...with a big smile & a little muscle Carter had successfully dove into the shower (over a tub ledge) WITH all of his clothes on. Lol HORRAY...time for a shower I guess? So after dealing with that fun mess & letting him play in the water with clothes on which just made him giggle & giggle it was time to get him dressed.

Now I don't know if anyone else deals with this or not...but picking out Carters  outfit takes as much thought or more as it takes to pick out my own clothes! So once his clothes & shoes were put on it was 10:00 & we had to leave at 10:30 to be somwhere. (Like that would ever happen)

I start getting ready & Carter finds ever awkward& weird thing possible to play with in the bathroom (ie: Tampons, pads, & of course the toilet water). So I proceeded taking things from him every two seconds & washing his hands three times. So then when I took him to he Hall it was time for him to decide to take his shoes...& socks both off. Then I put them back on & he crawled into our bedroom.

I continued getting ready cause there was peace & quiet which I knew meant he was doing something not so good. ...so I headed to our bedroom. There was Carter (with his shoes & socks off AGAIN) & he successfully took all of our shoes off of the shoe rack in our closet..no biggy just another set back! So as I put the shoes back..he started crying...I look over & he's sticking his fingers in the fan that was on the floor (mom fail)  But he's fine, & still has 10 fingers...for now!  ;)

Soo I decided it must be time for him to eat breakfast I mean it's 10:30 at this point & definitly time for us to be in the car..but you can't starve you child...can you? Haha just kidding. So I put him in the high chair while he screamed "more more more" Until I actually got some food to him...& while he ate I put my make up on (already sweating at this point). I returned to clean him up & GUESS WHAT he managed to take his dang shoes & socks off AGAIN!!!! So I put them back on, for the 4th time in less than an hour.

We headed out the door (10:55am) & he was great in the car. We ran some errands & at the dollar store he happened to get his hands on a football by reaching out of the cart. So
There I was trying to put it back as he screamed & I thought "okay, this is it. I am buying Carter this cheapo football & he officially has pushed me to the point of doing so". I mean I know it's just a dollar BUT I have always told myself I won't buy my kids toys at the store all the time cause then they expect it. But I did it & I don't regret it.

So now it's nap time & just completely relived my whole morning & I feel all worked up again.

AND THAT is how I know that I now have a One Year Old.

Now heres the positive twist!!

Now that we have a very fun & active 1 year old little stinker we get to have more fun! It really is so amazing teaching him how to walk & play with other kiddos. We get to do more adventurous things now! Another positive is that now that I break a sweat by just getting ready...by the end of the day I won't have to workout! I will be burning calories like no other. So heres to many more fun adventures of motherhood & don't get me wrong..this is TRULY the most rewarding job I will ever have!! I love our little man! :)

Spit up, Crying, pooping....Life just wouldnt be the same without it.

Life has been so stinkin' crazy!
 & i mean that literally.

Lets see, we have celebrated so much in such a short time, but i guess thats what you call the Holidays!

We celebrated Thanksgiving, & all of the Sloop family was in town for Christmas at my parents house, then we threw a little shindig in our new house for New Years Eve!
The week before Christmas i started watching a little 9 month old boy for some extra income & it was hard adjusting to two little boys, but  its becoming alot easier with a set schedule and such.

Mitchell finished his Fall semester with all A's cause he's kinda a stud.
(lets pray Carter gets his brains)
& now he has started his Spring semester and it will be a difficult one because of Organic Chemistry.
...Let me just add that he is a Full Time Daddy, Full time Bank Teller & a Full time Student.
I am so blessed to be his wife.

Carter has just been amazing us daily!
The day before he turned 4 months he started to scoot a little toward toys.
& a few short days later he started sitting up.
He has pretty much mastered the sitting up thing now and is working on crawling next!

I absolutly love being his mommy but man if one more person tells me that Carter looks nothing like me i may go crazy. I mean SERIOUSLY!
I carried that little boy for over 9 months and all i get is random people constantly saying
"He's so cute, He must look like his daddy? I just don't see your resemblance"
...uh thanks? lol
I mean i guess its a good thing his daddy is hot.

Well here are some pictures for your viewing.

Just a Sunday afternoon in our back yard, Carter absolutely loves being outside and swinging on his swing set! 1/26/14
